SIB Network (Én Kết Nối): Driving Socially Impactful Connections with the MCA Toolkit

The Social Impact Businesses (SIBs) Network (Én Kết Nối) was born out of the 2021 Én Xanh 48-hours hackathon, where teams were challenged to find ways for SIBs to strengthen partnerships after the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative inspired the creation of a seamless, proactive, and cost-effective connection platform that links suppliers, SIBs, distributors, and financial institutions.

Én Kết Nối’s mission is to foster collaboration within the SIB community, amplifying environmental and social values, while driving sustainable development through circular economy principles.

The Challenge

Having connected over 20 SIBs across Vietnam in the past three years, Én Kết Nối faced challenges in implementing their “value chain” and membership-based business models, alongside operational difficulties.

Recognizing these hurdles, they saw the need to reassess their current position and identify key areas for improvement to execute their mission more effectively and sustainably.

The Result

Through the inaugural batch of the 2024 Impact Business Lab (IBL) program, an Impact Link Asia’s collaboration with Fulbright University CEI, Én Kết Nối was able to be among the first SIBs to benefit from the newly launched Mission Capacity Assessment (MCA) to tackle their problem statement above.

The insights gained became essential inputs for addressing this challenge in the IBL program. The findings helped Én Kết Nối refine their strategies, address key operational issues, and enhance their capacity to build a sustainable business model.
