Launching EcoChain

EcoChain was born from a shared belief: that finance should do more than sustain businesses — it should help them change the world. Together, Impact Link Asia— a specialist in social impact consulting—and Micro Fund JSC, a fintech pioneer in SME financing, have joined forces to turn that vision into reality.

🌟What makes EcoChain different?
By linking access to capital with measurable social and environmental outcomes, EcoChain ensures that financial growth and positive impact go hand in hand. Our dual-scoring system empowers SMEs to showcase both their creditworthiness and their contributions to people and planet.

🌟Who benefits?

🌸 SMEs gain the financial space to grow and innovate.

🌸 Funders & Banks unlock efficient, lower-cost ways to support credible impact-ready businesses.
🌸 Communities & the Environment benefit from scalable solutions to Vietnam’s most pressing needs.

The Impact Business Lab

On October 30th, 2024, Impact Link Asia and Fulbright University Vietnam CEI’s Impact Business Lab program gathered to celebrate the journey of five inspiring Social Impact Businesses (SIBs): Dr. Ruột, SIB Network (Én Kết Nối), Tropical Trekking, WagWel Rescue, and The GreenMart Vietnam . Each of these organizations brought their unique missions, visions, and problem statements to the program.

For the past three months, these SIBs utilized our first-ever Mission Capacity Assessment (MCA) toolkit, which provided a comprehensive evaluation of their strengths and areas for growth. Equipped with these insights, each SIB collaborated closely with student teams to tackle challenges, brainstorm solutions, and set a path for continued success.

Vietnam’s Impact Investing Landscape

We were honoured to host a sharing session with the delegates from Claremont Graduate Universityabout the impact investing landscape and the role of Social Impact Businesses (SIBs) in Vietnam.

The group had a passionate and fruitful discussion about the vital role NPOs and NGOs play in socio-economic development and achieving the SDGs, but they face challenges due to the lack of a unified legal framework and unstable funding.

With approximately 27,000 SIBs in the Vietnamese ecosystem, Impact Link Asia CEO Ms Thao Lam took a deep dive into the key challenges that SIBs encounter such as limited capital, business management capacity, and market access.
